Yoga can be enriching for your health as well aslead to the understanding of what truly brings the most satisfaction to your life. Yoga practice is the first step in living yoga as a way to live happily and with contentment.

Your Personal Yoga Practice - The Power of Yoga Essentials

Flow. Breath. Flexibility. Strength. Affirmation.

Yoga is movement and yoga is static within its system of how it works. Your personal practice is built upon the common ground that life changes, but the self is eternal. Humanity will always grow and change as are the laws of nature. Yoga is a system not built on laws, but truths. And the experience of its system is life.

The Yoga of Posture

Flow. As we move from one yoga asana to the next, our movements are like silk. Fluid. The first into the next in an asana dance. Our muscles stretch and contract, massaging our internal organs and building structure down to the level of the cell. The movements of our body move the oxygen within our bloodstream, rejuvenating our vital systems, bringing prana to the deepest cavities. We combat stress, chronic illness, and negativity.

Our thoughts flow. One melts into the other as we internalize the world around us. Sights and smells and words spoken without relation to us individually mold and change the direction of the roots of our thoughts. During your personal practice, you will learn to separate thoughts, to discern their roots, and control not only what effects you, but how it does.

Yoga Pranayama

Breath. Our breath is movement. It moves the flow of heat throughout our body. As prana is synonymous with heat, our breath is a direct conduit of prana. Prana is what resides within our intellect, our senses, that defines us as living being. Flow of breath is the flow of life and control of the breath is to maintain your life.

Our diaphram muscle controls the energy in our solar plexus, storing it to irradicate toxins and disease. The contraction of respiration removes toxicity and stale air from the lungs during the exhalation, improving our health and brain function. During yogic breathing exercises, we learn how to optimize our breath patterns step-by-step, to improve digestion and elimination, vital energy, clarity of thought, and the satisfaction obtained from our senses: sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch.

The Root of All Strengths

Flexibility. It is a material world in which we exist. In which we have built. We collect and obtain - houses, cars, appliances. There is no satisfaction in acquiring more things because that is not what feeds us. Bringing inspiration, relaxation, or that spark of divine. You must be flexible of mind to see the subtle aspirations that lie within you.

Our body functions on systems of pressures - our breath, movement of cells, of energy. Our mind is also balanced on a system of pressures, changing its functionality. Stress, however, disrupts our psychological, emotional, and physical balances. This may cause migraines, excema, and anxiety.

We use yoga not only to treat these symptoms, but to understand and affect the cause. Flexibility opens possibilities and knowing your possibilities eliminates minor and major stressors. Our mind's ability to adapt has been our capability to survive and strive - and as your practice of yoga develops, the flexibility learned of body and mind will bring you to your optimal state of health.

The Power of Yoga

Affirmation. The positive meditation of affirmation brings healing and strength-garnering properties to the well of our mind and body. As the conscious and unconscious is defined by what we learn and absorb, we literally are what we believe. An affirmation is used most commonly to build areas that we feel weak or lacking in.

Through meditation and positive thinking, you develop the capability to be self-sufficient for positive direction. The stressors and negative impact from the workplace, social developments, and rigors of daily chores will not be taxing on your emotional and spiritual wellness. The world of yoga is a system that strengthens your ability to cope and your ability to make uncomplicated decisions that better your world and the world that we share.
